Bookkeeper

Northview UMC in Roanoke is seeking a part-time bookkeeper. The responsibilities include maintaining accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions (payroll, invoices, reimbursements, and adjustments). Maintain employee profiles; Process payments; Prepare payroll; Maintain Chart of Accounts; Prepare legal documents for reporting (W2s, 1099s, 941s, workers compensation audit, etc.); Assist with annual audit; Balance accounts by reconciling entries; Maintain and monitor the general ledger by transferring account summaries and reconciling entries; Maintain historical records by filing documents; Assist in preparation of financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; Perform monthly bank reconciliations. Attend monthly Finance Committee Meetings; Provide back-up assistance to Church Secretary and Financial Associate as needed. The job involves 8 hours of work a week on average. Multimedia Director

Director of Next Generation Ministries

Trinity UMC in Lexington, VA seeks a positive, energetic and fun team player to serve as our Director of Next Generation Ministries. This is a new, part-time, year-round position in a charming college town.  We are looking for someone who can bring a fresh perspective to developing and coordinating intergenerational programming that will help our church navigate the changing cultural climate in creative ways, with a particular emphasis on helping the church connect and develop meaningful relationships with children, youth, and young adults in the church and community. Candidates should be theologically trained and possess an understanding of United Methodist tradition, mission, and values. Director of Intergenerational Ministries

Audio Video Tech

Windsor Hills UMC is currently accepting resumes for part time Audio Video Technician averaging 5-10 hours per week. This individual will be responsible for recording and live streaming Sunday worship services along with special church services, upload videos to select social media platforms including You Tube and Facebook, run presentation software and design digital graphics and slides as needed. They must work in church Sunday mornings from 9:30-12:00 pm. They may complete remaining hours remotely. The Audio Video Technician will be responsible for setting up, installing, operating, testing and troubleshooting audio and video equipment as needed. The AV Tech will produce the best possible atmosphere for worship through the audio video experience along with creating the best music mix possible. They will support the Lead Pastor and those involved in the service for all audio and video needs.
