Camp Overlook
Overlook is located at the base of the scenic Massanutten Mountains just north of Harrisonburg, VA. Its 161 acres command a panoramic view of the Shenandoah Valley and border the peaceful woodland of George Washington National Forest. Embrace Waynesboro
Former Wayne Hills United Methodist Church is now 'Embrace Waynesboro' - a community center! One of the initiatives and outreach of this up and coming center is a community garden. We are people who believe that everyone has a place at God’s table, that grace is best shared face to face, and that love is a verb demanding our action. To that end, we view the church building from which we serve as a tool box, one provided in order to equip ourselves and our community to love well. Kids Soar
Kids Soar, formerly known as Community Outreach Program of Roanoke (COP), is a direct-service provider for children and youth of poverty in inner-city Roanoke. It addresses basic needs of poverty such as food and clothing, and provides a safe environment for children and youths in dealing with issues of violence, racism, drug and alcohol abuse. Kids Soar would not be here today if it weren't for the United Methodist Women of Trinity United Methodist Church who founded the organization in 1989. A video about the mission of Kids Soar.
